What this page covers#
This policy records every browser storage key the Cinderpath website may write, its purpose and how long it remains.
What the site stores today#
| Key | Category | Purpose | Lifetime | Party |
|---|---|---|---|---|
cp-consent | Necessary | Stores the visitor's consent choice so the banner is not shown again. | 12 months | first party |
cp-axis | Preferences | Remembers the selected map axis. | 12 months | first party |
The three categories#
- Necessary
- Records the choice needed to apply the visitor's storage instructions.
- Preferences
- Remembers optional choices about how the competence map is displayed.
- Analytics
- Reserved for a future measurement tool. Nothing in this category loads or stores data today.
How to change your choices#
You can reopen the controls at any time. A new choice replaces the previous consent record.
Why the banner rejects by default#
Optional storage stays off until you make an explicit choice. The site remains available when you reject preferences and analytics.
The PECR basis#
UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations require consent before storage that is not strictly necessary. Cinderpath asks before writing preference or analytics keys.
What happens when analytics is added#
Analytics is reserved and loads nothing today. Before any analytics tool is added, this registry and policy will name its keys, purpose, lifetime and party, and the policy version will change so visitors are asked again.
When this page last changed#
This page last changed on when the first storage registry and consent controls were published.
