INDUSTRIES

Technical work changes with the context

The sector you operate in changes what the technical work has to respect. It does not change what we can show you, and we say so plainly.

What the industries layer is

The Cinderpath industries layer describes how a sector's system boundaries, operating constraints and evidence needs change the shape of the same six lines of work. It sets out what we would do first in each context. It does not claim prior delivery in any sector.

FIVE CONTEXTS

Five contexts, two constraints each

  • 01

    B2B SaaS and technology

Multi tenancy, release cadence, usage billing accuracy, and a support load that grows faster than the customer base.

    • One weak tenant boundary can affect many accounts at once
    • Usage events must reach billing exactly once
  • 02

    Fintech and payments

Reconciliation, idempotency, audit trails, access control and a written incident procedure. Engineering and operations only, never regulatory advice, licences or approvals.

    • A retry can protect availability or create a duplicate payment
    • Access, change and incident records must survive later review
  • 03

    E-commerce and marketplaces

Catalogue and stock sync, checkout reliability, returns and disputes, seasonal load, and attribution that survives consent.

    • Stock, checkout and payment can each be right while the order is wrong
    • Consent and browser limits decide which events can be joined
  • 04

    Professional services

Client confidentiality, matter based structures, document heavy processes, billing by time and scope, and demand that arrives by referral.

    • Permissions follow the client or matter, not the department
    • Demand arrives by referral and must be traced without exposing case content
  • 05

    Manufacturing and logistics

ERP and shop floor integration, site and device connectivity, data quality coming off machines, and downtime that has a physical cost.

    • Downtime and unsafe intervention carry physical consequences
    • Site data arrives late or offline and still has to reconcile

SIX LINES, FIVE SECTORS

How each line works in each sector

Pick a sector to read the first concrete thing each of the six lines would do there.

SECTOR HISTORY

No sector history yet, and how we start anyway

Cinderpath was incorporated in 2026. We have not delivered a project in any of these five sectors under our own name, and the pages here do not pretend otherwise.

What we bring is the engineering and the method: a written assessment before any build, one narrow increment against a written definition of done, and accounts and code that stay yours from the first day. The sector pages describe where that method would point first.

Bring the constraint that worries you most

Name the sector, the system and the one boundary you cannot afford to break. We will tell you which line the work starts in.
