WORKED EXAMPLE · AI SEARCH VISIBILITY

Pages an answer engine can quote

A site made readable and quotable for search and answer engines through server HTML, one entity record and generated structured data.

THE SITUATION

The company shape

A company that sells to other businesses depends on search for most of its first conversations. Its site renders in the browser, so a request without scripts returns an almost empty page.

Product pages describe features without ever saying what the product is, and the company name is spelled more than one way across the site and its public profiles.

DISCOVERY

Weeks 1 to 2

  1. We would crawl the site the way search engines and answer engines read it, and compare the server HTML of each route with what a browser shows.

  2. We would check crawl controls, the sitemap, canonical tags and internal links.

  3. We would draft the entity record: the approved name, identifiers and relationships, signed off by the client.

  4. We would list the questions buyers ask against the pages that answer them, ordered by commercial weight.

BUILD

Weeks 3 to 6

  1. We would fix server output for the priority routes so each returns a complete document without scripts.

  2. The entity record would be applied across the site, its metadata and its markup.

  3. Each priority page would get a definitional paragraph, reviewed by the person who owns the subject.

  4. Structured data would be generated from the same records the page renders, with validation checks in the release path.

AT THE END

What the client would hold

LIMITS

What we would have said no to

  • Guaranteed citations

Engines choose their sources. We make the facts readable, consistent and quotable.

  • Pages at volume

Generating many thin pages would dilute the entity we are trying to make clear.

  • Markup for invisible facts

Structured data describes what a visitor can read on the page, never more.

  • Bought links

Not part of this work, under any name.
