PRACTICE
Schema
A declared structure that gives data fields, entities and events consistent meaning.
DEFINITION
Schema definition
A schema defines the structure, meaning and allowed relationships of data. It gives producers and consumers a shared contract, whether the data describes an API payload, an analytics event or an entity on a web page.
WHY IT MATTERS NOW
The current operating pressure
Data now travels between product systems, warehouses, search engines and model workflows. Explicit schemas reduce interpretation drift and make changes visible before they break downstream use.
WHAT WE DO ABOUT IT
Work connected to Schema
Integrations and data
Systems connected with an event schema, idempotency, retries and reconciliation that actually reconciles.
Entity and structured data
One consistent entity across the site and its markup, so engines link the brand to the right things.
Schema implementation
Structured data generated from the same content the page renders, so the two can never drift apart.
The event schema
The list of events, their properties and their owners, agreed before anything is instrumented.
NEIGHBOURING TAGS
Shared parts of the map
Schema shares no service node with any other tag.
No other tag shares a node with Schema.
Trace the shared concern through your systems
Bring the system boundary and the decisions that need evidence. We will identify the connected work and define a practical starting point.
